Okay, my lady-like friends, I decided to skip the Spring 2012 Trend #4 - Tribal Prints (it's too much like Luxe Safari and to be quite honest, I'm not really into the "Az-tecy" prints anyway, sorry to those that are). I decided, this is my blog and I will write and showcase what I want...so there.
Moving right along to a little bit of romance. This next trend is all about being "girly". I may not be the most well-mannered, sophisticated girl, but I know how to portray it.
This trend will inspire you to find your inner innocence. Think "first date at a little cafe in Paris...table for two". This will help you focus on what lady-like romance is all about for 2012.
What you need to look and shop for:
Broaches
Vintage-looking necklaces - maybe some pearls
Messy braids, sleek buns, side pony-tails, loose waves/curls
Pastels - think pink & mint
Quilted bags with chain handles or straps
Bows - in your hair, on your finger, around your neck, around your waist and on your shoes
Floppy hats - tan, chocolate and black work best
Ruffles, scallops, silk and chiffon
Pencil skirts
Solid pastel, cropped block jackets
Any accessory with roses on it - preferably in pink, peach, mint or cream
Dainty flats or round toe heels
The set below is inspired by one my most favorite fashion icons, Miss Lauren Conrad. In my opinion, for what it's worth, she is the epitome of style, elegance and grace. And in my eyes, she is a true lady that can rock this 2012 trend with her eyes closed. And in case you did not know, you can find her affordable line at at Kohl's. I have purchased numerous pieces there. They hold up well, are timeless and exemplify a true lady-like style.
Raise a glass to ROMANCE! Cheers!

Love'n it. Im so into hats this season. My favorite are the floppy hats and the vintage 40's style. Also a huge LC fan. She's very classy and a true role model to our age and the younger generation. I truly admire her.
