Hello Monday!
Another weekend has come and gone and August is in full swing! CRAZY!
I want to start off my saying thank you to all the ladies that I link up with at the bottom of this post. They are a HUGE part of why I started documenting my weekends through Instagram. Yes, I mostly share my fashion finds and chat about the latest trends, but this blog is also a place where I can document my life. It is my space that will be here as long as the internets are still alive and kicking.
Ten years from now, I will look back and see all the memories that were made with my family, friends and you! It's a place where my children can scroll though and look at what we did over the weekends, since they may not fully remember because of their young age.
So, thank YOU for reading my weekend recaps and being, in some shape or form, interested in my simple, but amazingly blessed life!
1. I wasn't sure that we packed enough for a 2-day trip to Ross's family ranch. I like to be prepared.
2. Landry was "Cruisin' Down the Street in Her 6-4". We always let the girls take turns driving down the red dirt road coming up to the camphouse. It's tradition to play Alan Jackson's "Daddy Let Me Drive" as they steer behind the wheel. It never gets old for them.
3. Landry and I being silly. Our future is definitely bright!
4. Flipping through my Ulta ad and saw this new OPI Fall Collection. It will be in stores August 8th. I want one of each!
5. And this is what the sister-in-law and I do late night in the country...Heidi, we need to practice our balance!

6. The only thing that can keep Logan still for more than five minutes...fishing.
7. I finally painted my nails! I swear, I have been seriously slipping with the manis. I figured since fall is around the corner, I would sport the neon and glitter for one last time.
8. We hit Splashway water park for my niece's 1st birthday party. We have the best of both world's when visiting the ranch...country life and a water park 5 miles down the road.
9. The birthday girl, Claire Elizabeth, had her first taste of icing. I think she is a fan. Who needs cake when you can lick the good stuff?
10. How I ended Saturday...sitting on the pier, with a little fishing and drinking some summer brew. Life is GOOD!
11. Sunday's best. I will do a full outfit post on it this week.
12. Our other niece, Ellie Rayne, was baptized on Sunday. How does our family celebrate a baptism? We eat at an all-you-can-eat Mexican food buffet!
13. I busted out a few oldie, but goodies on our 2 hours drive home. These are all from my VERY YOUNG childhood days. Neil Diamond was my very first concert and my mom used to rock me to sleep to his albums...yes, I said ALBUMS!!
14. We got home and in a matter of five minutes, Landry, Sparkle Monkey, managed to create this mess. We don't call her our Texas Tornado for grins and giggles.
15. I wish you could scratch and sniff your computer screen right now! Nothing compares to the Cajun smell of shrimp boiling. I wonder if I can find a candle scent that burns this aroma? Thanks, Ross for a DEE-LISH dinner!
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I would love to hear what you were up to as well.
P.S. Thanks for all the suggestions on my camera dilemma that I posted about Friday. I seriously have the BEST blog friends on the face of the Earth! I am going to start shopping around this week.
Wish me luck!
Cheers to weekend recaps!

Today I am linking up with these ladies.
