Ever since the Anthropologie owl cookie jar made it's debut, it seems as though owl decor is popping up everywhere. I mean Target now has ceramic owl vases in their Dollar Spot for $2.50.
(I took a picture of them and posted on Instagram in case you want to take a peek.)
Back in my college days, buying an owl of any kind was a straight up "hell no" because of my sorority affiliation. I was supposed to buy nothing but turtles. I am a proud Delta Zeta from Texas State. Since college is a million miles away, I have started to take a liking to these little hoots.
I have been on a mission to spruce of some of my home decor and trying to decide if these are simply the latest trend in the design world or if owls are really here to stay. You see, I can put together outfits and know what staple pieces are for my wardrobe, but when it comes to decorating my house, quite frankly...I completely suck.

So, help me out here.
Do you think this is just a fad or should I throw a few of these in my shopping cart?
I must say, I have fallen in love with the door knobs in #4.
Tell me, do any of you own this Anthro cookie jar?
I have seen a ton of DIY recreations of it in blog land.
Have you hopped on this decor trend? What are your thoughts?
I am counting on your advice and comments.
Cheers to hooters????
