Hey, lady loves! I am in two places at once today. Go check out more of this look on Sheaffer's blog, Pinterest Told Me To. If you haven't popped in to say hello to her, go now. Her blog is all about recreating Pinterest inspired outfits. Genius if ya ask me. She finds some amazing online deals, is absolutely hilarious and a fellow Texan! Yee-haw!
Now onto the weekend. It was a little bit of work and a little bit of play. Well, I guess it was actually all play because in case you haven't noticed, my new venture isn't work for me. It is something that I love to do and once you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life.
A few weeks ago we bought this Jeep from some friends of ours. Her name is Big Sexy. No, we didn't name her that. It was her birth name and we didn't think it would be fair to change it so late in life. The weather in Austin had a touch of spring in the air, so we took her for a spin. I haven't driven a standard since I was 19 years old, but it's just like riding a bike. You don't forget. Momma didn't stall. Nope not even once. Just call me Daisy Duke without the Daisy Dukes.
Onto the REALLY good stuff. The stuff that I am so blessed and happy to report to you!
I finished my first virtual styling job. My sweet blog friend, Whitney, contacted me last week to do some outfit compositions from her closet. Of course I said yes!! I had her send me a handful of her favorite pieces from her closet.
This is what we started with:

And here are a few outfits I created for her.
1. 2.

I was able to make 87 outfits for her. I used the pieces that she gave me, plus I suggested a few items that I thought she should pick up to expand her wardrobe.
Then, I was lucky enough to do another "shop my closet" appointment for a friend.
Just like the first time, it was so much fun. It sounds so corny for me to say, but it truly was. I get into a zone and I just go...with wine and hip hop playing in the background of course.
So, here are a few looks I created from her closet. We accomplished 42 new outfits. I did bring over a few of my personal staple pieces to show her how they would look with what she already owned in her closet. She is out shopping this very minute for those "must buy now" items. Good girl! She listens well.
This is just a teeny tiny taste of the magic we conjured up.
At this very moment, I feel like I have won the lottery. I am so
thankful that God gave me the nudge swift kick to pursue my dreams and ambitions. I am also
so humbled and blown away by what blogging has done for me. Never in my wildest Matthew McConaughey dreams did I think I could REALLY make this happen. I would not be
where I am today if it wasn't for a mess load of hard work and YOU, loyal
readers and friends! Love you! Mean it!
