Like I mentioned last week, I want to use a few of my #ootd pictures from Instagram and recreate the looks for your shopping pleasure.
Let's get to gettin', Texas rodeo style, y'all.

In Texas, the month of March is known as
official rodeo season. I grew up in the Houston area and went to the
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo every year. It's one of the greatest
memories I have from my teenage and college days. The cook-off,
concerts, carnival food, Ferris wheel rides and of course the cowboys define what a rodeo should be and Houston does it up right year after year.
Unfortunately,
we haven't been able to make it to Houston for the rodeo in quite some
time. I just have to live vicariously through everyone's pictures on
Instagram and Facebook.
Fortunately,
Austin has a smaller (much smaller) version of the Houston production
and we do make it out every year for this one. It's actually really nice
because you don't have to fight the crazy crowds and traffic. The musical
performances are no George Strait or Jason Aldean, but you aren't 150
miles away from the stage either. We went earlier this week and
caught the bucking broncs, Eli Young Band, did a little two-steppin' and
ate way to much carnival food. Pizza on a stick anyone?
We
plan on going back Friday night for the cook-off. Again, it's nothing
like the one in Houston, but I am starting to become partial to what
Austin has to offer...less production and more of a good Texas time.
Have you ever been to a rodeo? Do you own a pair of boots? You know, you don't have to live in the South, ride a horse or even like country music to rock a pair. Just sayin'.
Yee-haw, giddy up or ride 'em cowboy.
