This weekend we traveled back "home" to Alvin, Texas. It's where Ross and I both grew up and where our parents still reside. We had so much to celebrate; our niece's first birthday, my brother-in-law's miracle from a heart condition and of course Mother's Day.
Even though I could never see myself moving "home", I am comforted every time I go back. It's a place were most everyone knows everyone. It's where I grew up. It's where I made my best friends. It's where I fell in love. It's where I got married. It's where 99% of my childhood and teenage years' secrets lie. (wink-wink)
Anyway, I wore this outfit on Mother's Day. We had a family filled day with church, lunch, blog pictures, more food, a few games of washers, sprinklers, hoola-hooping, golf cart riding and lots of laughs.
I have a handful of pictures to share. We got back to Round Rock late, a little whooped to go into detail about each one, but I think you are some pretty smart cookies to figure out all the action without captions. That's the beauty of photographs, they tell a story without having to say or type a word.
So, I leave you with a few snap shots of my family, what we did and what we are all about. In case you are curious about "what we are all about"; to sum it up, we are about FAMILY because at the end of the day that's what matters most. We see one another through thick and thin. We pick up right where we left off and our love is unconditional no matter what season of life any of us are in. It's a bond between us all, my family and Ross's, that will never be broken.

I leave you with a few questions that Landry's teacher asked her to answer about me. I will remind you that she just turned five. It was part of my Mother's Day gift. I almost fell off the couch when I read all of them. Here are a few of my favorites:
What makes your mom sad?
Landry's answer: Not listening to her.
What does your mom do for a job?
Landry's Answer: She takes pictures.
If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
Landry's Answer: A princess. The one from Tangled.
What do you and your mom do together?
Landry's answer: Go shopping.
What does your mom like most about your dad?
Landry's answer: She loves him.
AND MY FAVORITE:
What is your mom really good at?
Landry's answer: Cooking
Yep, I laughed out loud at that last one too. God love her sweet soul.
