You see, I had the chance to go on a handful of adventures, a stay-cation if you will, over the last four days with some of my best friends in the entire world, hubs and kiddos. It was a "Don't Stop, Get It, Get It" kind of weekend that commenced on July 4th.
Now? Well, as I sit here and type, I am all alone. My lady loves headed back home (one to California, one to Kansas and the others scattered across Texas) and Ross took the girls to stay with their grandparents for the week. I am already missing my little off spring terribly and it's only been one day.
So, my world went from one big shindig to a party of one in less than 24 hours. Granted Ross will be home early this morning, but it still feel out of whack to be home alone with in silence. Okay, it's not complete crickets, my iPod's currently on the Pandora "This is How We Do It" station. Yes, it's kind of nice, but lonely all the same since the weekend with filled with so much laughter and good times.
All good things, or moments at least, come to an end. I guess that's what keeps us fired up about the next big thing we have on our agendas. And these moments and memories that I am sure we all had and made over the holiday weekend are the most precious mental Polaroid pictures that will never be lost, stolen or fade in color.
I am beyond blessed to have had these last four days added to my life's file. I only wish that I could have tacked on a few more hours to each day.
Here are a few, okay a possible overkill amount of photos from the weekend. I just couldn't narrow it down to any less. Thank you to everyone who spent time with us. Each and every one of you hold a huge spot in my heart. I couldn't imagine being on this journey of life without you. And to those that we didn't get to spend time with because of schedule conflicts, new babies or because of that dang thing called distance, you were in my thoughts the entire time.
Let the pictures roll...

July 4th was spent with both real and inflatable pools, a slip and slide, games of washers, old school tunes, BBQ, excited kids, festive attire, fireworks and of course friends.

Friday we headed to our neighbors' house on Lake LBJ. We floated, tubed, got thrown off of tubes, won tube contests and relaxed on tubes...oh, and there was a little wake boarding too. And a fish fry. And strawberry moon shine. And a Texas sunset over the water. I would say it was an A+ kind of day.

Saturday morning we met up with our friends in downtown Austin to hop on this concoction that travels by road and water. It's the Austin Duck Adventures and let me just say, don't do it. It was a total let down, time waster and cost way too much for what it was. It was something we had on our Austin to-do list, we did it, but definitely won't be doing it again. Oh well, at least we got four plastic duckbill calls out of the deal.

Before I go, I wanted to give some extra love to my Prince Charming.
Today is our wedding anniversary, thirteen years to be exact. I love
this man with all of my being. He is my rock, biggest supporter and best
friend. I don't even want to imagine where I would be if he wasn't in my
life. My girls and I are the luckiest ladies in the world to have him
as a dad and life partner. I love you, Ross!
