I mentioned to you guys last week about the Target's back to school bash that was taking place on Instagram. Target has been designing some of the most adorable and creative Stylagrams based on the Kids Got Style tag. It's centered around kids summer style and what they have been wearing during the months off from school.
People were asked to submit a photo to Instagram, tag Target and use the hashtag #KidsGotStyle. A handful of lucky Instagrammers received a Stylagram that was created especially for their kiddo and won a gift card to Target to help pay for the costs of school supplies and back to school attire.
Logan, my oldest muffin, was part of the kick off program and her personal Stylagram from Target is posted below. Target showcased a few key items that they asked us to purchase from the video and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time. School starts in exactly two weeks, it was TAX FREE WEEKEND here in Texas and Logan has been itching to gather up her school supply list. She is so ready for school to start back up and see all her friends.
After we got over the excitement of actually seeing her on Target's IG and watching it at least twenty times, we set our alarm clocks bright and early for Friday morning. Because it was tax free weekend, we knew Target was going to be a mad house and wanted to try and avoid the crazy, nutty crowds.
Here are a few shots of our shopping excursion. We spent almost two hours pushing our red cart up and down the aisles, ensuring we didn't miss a thing on our list. From glue sticks, to Crayola markers, purple handle scissors, five different colored folders, school clothes necessities and everything in between, Target had us covered...per usual.

Logan couldn't wait to wear a few of the clothes we scooped up during our shopping spree and the top you see above was one of the items that was in her Styleagram. I hope I can get the playground stains out of her top because THIS outfit is the chosen one for the first day of school.
Our house still can't believe that summer is coming to a close and that routines are about to hit us full force. Early mornings here we come. We are going to miss you June, July and most of August. Goodbye mid morning wake up calls, swimming after lunch, afternoon naps and late night movies. It's time to snap back to reality, buckle down and make the grade.
It's been real. It's been fun. Summer break, we will see you in 2014. Gosh, that seems so far away, but it will be back around before we can say, "No more homework!"

Happy new school year to all the kiddos hitting the books again over the next few weeks and God bless all the parents gearing up for early morning sack lunch making.

P.S. I am over at Always Maylee today spilling the beans on my style obsession...okay, my style addiction. I hope you can take a minute and stop by.
