Leather isn't necessarily a sudden trend that came out of nowhere, but I am not referring to the obvious: jackets, bags, belts or shoes. Those are all a given when it comes to owning leather pieces. I am talking tops, vest, pants and accessories.
Leather is showing itself in an array of colors, styles, patterns and textures from high ended designers to affordable faves like Target.
Most of you know that I live in Texas and we are still experiencing summer temperatures, so most of my leather lusts are tucked away on the "fall/winter" side of my closet. The beauty of the trend is because of it's current coveted status, brands and designers are creating pieces that are not entirely made of heavy leather.
As you will notice in some of my favorite picks above, there are items that are simply accented on the sleeves or pockets. The vest I included (which I own) can be worn with a light weight top and will easily tolerate warmer days.
If you still are sitting on the fence about being too dramatic with any sort of hide, I suggest starting with an accessory such as a scarf, collar necklace or studded cuff.
I must also mention that everything included in this round up is faux/vegan leather which makes a happy, guilt-free heart and wallet.
