I realize that this top is actually a "grid" or "windowpane" print. So, you are probably scratching your head wondering why the title of this post is called Mirror Image.
Button-Up Top: Forever 21 // Camo Top: Forever 21 (similar here and here) // Pants: Old Navy // Boots: Charlotte Russe (similar here and here) // Bag: Express c/o Chippmunk (similar here and here) Bracelets: Cathryn Ann Designs c/o // Ring: Gigglosophy c/o
I am a complete copy cat, mirroring/recreating this outfit that Annie, one of my favorite style bloggers and friends, posted last week. I told her in my comment that I was going to replicate, pin and style it on my blog. I stick to my promises. So maybe we chose different bags, boot colors and I opted out when it came to a necklace, but I think we could pretty much be identical twins.
This is what I love about being a blogger, reading blogs and being part of the blogging community. We inspire one another whether it's fashion, cooking, DIY or family related. We all feed off of one another, push ourselves to think outside of the box and get different views and ideas; ones we would not have thought of on our own.
I had everything you see in this post hanging in my closet. Would I have ever put all the pieces together on my own? Probably not. But the minute I saw Annie's post, I fell in love. It's a little daring and maybe not for everyone's taste, but I love it.
Who has inspired you in the blogging world lately? Go ahead and give them a shout in the comments below. Maybe I will copy them too.

The window pane/burgundy combo is lovely! Great boots too. So fun to see both of your looks, the same but slightly different.
I was gonna say, I thought this outfit looked familiar! You both look great in it! I've definitely copied outfits from bloggers!

Okay you are so beautiful, and I am in love with this outfit for multiple reasons. First I love how you mixed the camo and stripes, I am a HUGE fan of mixing patterns, I just don't think you can get enough of it! And I am in love with those boots, I am a boot addict so I appreciate a good boot haha

Yes burgundy pants! I'm all about them recently, as you know, I love seeing bloggers mimic each others outfits to see how different ladies style certain pieces. Love this look!

I am starting to be a huge fan of mixing patterns! It is such a fun way to expand your wardrobe. I have been looking for a new handbag and I love this one!! It just went on my Christmas list! Susan
I don't have those color jeans. I need to rectify that immediately.
This look is so fun! I love that window pane pattern with the camo and the colors are fab!

I've definitely been just perusing blogs and writing down ideas for outfits. I will also pin them but if there are elements I want to change and stuff I usually add them to my "outfit ideas" list. I get two days off a week. One day in a skirt or dress and one in pants lol. I schedule what I'm going to wear around what I do.
I think this is daring and unexpected! I's out of your box but you are rocking it fiercely!

I accidently stumbled accross lookbook and instantly got inspired but it took me a while to actually start blogging. Before I was just doing the usual personal blog but lookbook and my love for photography encourage me to try fashion blogging. :)
I love this outfit especially for the print on print factor. It always excites to me see new ways to style!

I love Annie! I loved her outfit and I love your recreation of it too!
This is such a killer combo–Annie has great style, so it's no wonder you took inspiration from her for this outfit. Maybe now I'm mirror BOTH of you and do it myself!
I love that you choose to leave the top open rather than to button it up! It completely opens up a whole new world of opportunities for styling! What would be without blogging for inspiration?! So thankful for everybody who takes time to blog!

I would have never thought to mix these prints together, but you do it well!!!!!!
Love Maegan inspires me on a day to day basis. And I love this post. You are a beautiful example Shanna. From what and how to wear it, to reminding us that we are here to inspire each other and that copying each other SHOULD BE and IS a form of flattery.
i knew this looked familiar! i love annie's style too. you nailed it! i really like your bracelets too -- can't get enough tassels.

Ya know what I love about your outfits? You're not afraid to mix colors and prints and still make it look fabulous! I need to step out of my comfort zone a little sometimes. Who knows? Maybe I'd create a fab outfit like you! xo
Beautiful button up!
I am totally embracing the grid print right now too, wearing a midi skirt in that pattern on my blog today. Great Job recreating her look, also I like your version a little better, it's more clean and chic.
