Moto jackets, short for motorcycle, have become one of this season's most unconventional trends. Unconventional to me at least. I say this because in in my head, in the past, leather jackets with zippers meant your were hoping on the back of a bike and cruising with a bandana tied around your head. Are you picturing the same thing as I am? They weren't meant for the runways, to be worn with skirts or feminine in the slightest.

My oh my, have times changed. With a myriad of bold colors, studs, textures, mixed with contrasting fabrics, moto jackets have quickly become a statement piece regardless of your style preference.
As you can see in some of my selections, moto jackets can be paired with skirts, shorts or layered over dresses. So, throw out the notion of only being able to add them with your favorite pair of jeans.
And since I like to focus on affordable styles, each jacket above is less than $100 and most of them less than $50. Faux leather has come a long way and you don't have to sacrifice style on a lean budget.
So, what do you say? Are you still in the mindset of Harley Davidsons or do you see the delicate side of the must have jacket of 2013?
I hope it's the latter because, to me every lady out there needs at least one.
Can we all sing "Cool Rider" like Michelle Pfeiffer did in Grease 2? Man, I so wanted to be her climbing up that ladder. I may or may not have reenacted that scene a time or two. Dear Lord, I am old. Ignore my nostalgic ways. I am sure most of you have NO IDEA what I am talking about. Carry on and have a great day!
