Trend Watch Tuesday - The New Sweatshirt

Sweatshirts are no longer set aside for the gym, lounging on the couch or snuggling up by a bonfire. Yes, they are still a priority for those things, but have become so much more. Who would have thought that a sweatshirt could be dressy, make a statement and actually have sequins?

Sweatshirts have come a long way and I like it. There are so many fun options; from sassy phrases, sparkles, nostalgic graphics, embroidered designs and a rainbow of colors, grabbing at least one for the cooler months is a must. 

Say goodbye to pairing them with just denim because there are new and improved options on the horizon. Anything and everything from colored skinnies, leather skirts, leggings and layering over dresses, sweatshirts have a whole new meaning and the word sweat should not be included. 

This may not be the newest trend, but one that is definitely on all the fashion magazines', retailers', designers' and style bloggers' radars. 

What's not to love? Who could disagree with being both comfortable and fashionable?
