Mixed Metals, Coated Denim & Burgundy

Today I am teaming up with Shopstyle to showcase a few of their editor's winter favorites. In turn, I am showing you a few options for a fraction of the price.

Instead of focusing on one trend, as I have done in weeks past, I took three favorites and combined them to form a chic look that's perfect for upcoming holiday parties. As we all know by now rich jewel tones like burgundy are a hot commodity. This color was big last year and is still getting well deserved affection this season.

Coated denim is something I just added to my closet this year. It's a great option if faux/vegan leather pants aren't your cup of tea. There are some great color options out there, but if you plan on grabbing your first pair, you can't go wrong with black.

One trend that hasn't gotten much attention in my world is mixing metals. I don't do it as often as I should. After finding this foiled, metallic sweater and complimentary accessories, I am eager to start incorporating gold, silver and bronze together.

On a side note, I am scratching my head wondering if I will end up purchasing a pair of faux leather gloves. I really do love the idea and both options above are so much fun. The hearts and bows totally got me. I have seen them styled in magazines and on a few blogs, but I am wondering how much I would really wear them since we don't have the craziest of winters. The jury is still out.
