I didn't think I would be pulling out my sweaters this early in November, but the weather yesterday was considered close to freezing, at least for my Texas blood. Okay, maybe I am being a little dramatic, but temps in the 50's call for sweaters, heated seats, knee boots and green chile chicken soup.
Pancho: Wallis c/o (other colors here and here) // Leggings: Target // Boots: Fergalicious // Necklace: Lookbook Store c/o // Bag: Phillip Lim for Target (similar here and here) // Bracelets: Nordstrom c/o and The Shine Project c/o // Ring: Gigglosophy c/o // Glasses: H&M (similar here)
This stripe poncho from Wallis arrived several months ago. I have been tapping my toes for the days to get cool enough to wear it. It's probably one of the most comfortable things I have put on my body besides the fluffy blanket sitting on my couch. Actually, let's just go ahead and call this poncho a styilsh and wearable blanket. I even got the stone color one too. When you find something this good, I say get them in doubles, triples or even quadruples. You know that's how my mind works. Remember "the skirt of all skirts" post? Now you know why I put myself on a shopping ban that started last month. Sometimes I just can't control myself.
Speaking of shopping ban, I have to come clean with y'all. I bought these Fergalicious boots last week. I know! I know! Want to hear my crazy justification? Okay, here goes. Please no judging.
I was cleaning out my wallet, found a stash of cash and it dawned on me that it was from our trip to Mexico. It was money for the flea market. I planned on bringing back a few souvenirs, but everything was pretty junkie, so I didn't spend a dime except for a few tchotchkes for my girls.
Anyway, these boots were on crazy super sale. So, I took my Mexico souvenir money and bought them. I will always think of Mexico when I wear them. I can guarantee I will get more use out of them then some piece of pottery, necklace or shirt. Plus, technically zero money came out of our bank account. Purchase justified? I think so.
Back on the wagon I go. I am really going to try stay clean and straight the rest of the month, but Black Friday has me questioning myself. We will see.
Have a great weekend and don't forget about the Lilac Bijoux giveaway going on. See you Monday!

Obsessing over this poncho!!! Love this look from head to toe :) gorgeous!!
Xo,
Sincerely Miss Ash
What an adorable poncho - I would have gotten it a few colors too. So you not shopping November too…you go girl!
I think you did the right buying these boots - so cute and so much better than something that you will never use.
I have decided not to shop until I lose the weight that I want so it gives me extra incentive to lose weight :)
Have a great weekend!

This outfit is FABULOUS! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
No judging here! You are totally justified! You look marvelous and I hope you have a great weekend! Susan
You have single-handedly made me want a poncho!!!!!!!!! However, I'm pretty sure I could not pull it off! WAY CUTE!
I'm the same…when it drops below 60s, I am freezing!! This poncho!!!!!! I LOVE it (and need it). And when you find money…all bets are off! :)
Love the poncho!!! I won't judge since you used Mexico money for the boots! Doesn't count, lol
xo, Lee
Sometimes you just can't pass up a super-great sale, especially if you found money. It sounds like fate to me! ;) Loving this poncho, Shanna!
Those boots are amazing!!! Now I need them.
I think you justified the purchase. I have a guy here at work that is from New York, and he makes fun of us Texas people already wearing jackets. He actually wears shorts to work
LOVE that poncho!!!
Honestly I'm not usually a poncho fan but that one is super cute! Maybe because it's on you? :) HUGS!
LOVE that poncho!! And ugh I have a severe spending problem... I can't stop!
It doesn't count since you found the Mexico souvenir money. Haha! Also, that is probably the coolest looking poncho I've ever seen.
i think this is one of my favorite outfits I've been on anyone in awhile... I just may need that poncho for myself. It gets mighty cold in Ohio. It's 34 as we speak {and that felt warmish}. You look fab as always, lady!
I must catch up on blogs!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
Haha! I think this purchased is totally justified. Spending cash is totally different than swiping your credit card ... At least in my world :)
I need to go shopping with you :) I love everything!!!
That poncho looks so cozy! Yay for finding money and buying those cute boots! Have a great weekend!

Rationalization? Maybe. But your justification works for me! I would've done the same thing.
That poncho looks fabulous on you! Love the whole outfit.
Have a great weekend!
Gorgeous outfit as usual, bonus points that it looks super comfy too :)
Love your boots with your newfound $$$. Finding money you forgot about is the best!
Happy Friday!
always gorgeous!
i love the fact that these boots are "fergalicious" haha! you look gorgeous i love the pancho!
I'm pretty sure boots are always justified! That poncho looks so cozy - seriously tempting me to get one!
You are too funny with your justification for spending. Poetry...I love it! I have been working hard not to spend money on me since the beginning of last month, too. I have fallen off the wagon just a couple of times, and have found myself with similar justifications. :) That poncho looks amazingly warm and comfortable!
I.love.that.sweater!
So gorgeous! I'm in love with that bag!!

Love this striped poncho! It is so so so chic!
No judging here either. :) That poncho is so cute! I typically don't think Wallis for shopping, but they do have some ah-mazing pieces (at the right price).
Found you via the Glam network - blogger love! Hope you have a great weekend, lady.

Okay, so YES, that justification counts! I bought two coats yesterday with money I am earning next week, sort of a borrow from future earnings deal. I'm trying really hard to only shop with income from the blog and Poshmark and so far it is working. For now:) We can do this! I feel I'm more creative with my clothing and make better purchases when I have a budget...I like.
Now I'm totally wanting a poncho - this one is lovely! Saying it's like a wearable blanket, even better!!!
I am the same way if I find something I like I purchase two, in different colors!
Ha, totally agree with your justification! Plus, you'll get a TON of use out of those boots!

I'm in love with this whole outfit. Makes me want to dig out my own poncho from BR from years back. And yes, totally justified!!
I've put myself on my own ban as well and slipped up a few days ago when I bought a necklace (searching forever for this particular color/style) from groopdealz. To be fair, I had returned another one. It was an even swap. :)
Love the poncho and your lip color!
You look so cute, as usual! Loving those boots- so hilarious that they're "Fergaliscious!" haha didn't even know that brand existed. Also, I learned a new word today, thanks to you: tchotchkes! (and I had to copy and paste cus there was no way I was spelling that right on my own haha)
xo
First of all, I love that poncho, and I REALLY love that it is striped. Second, I think that boots are much better than junky souvenirs because I don't really believe in souvenirs unless they are of the apparel/shoe/accessory type. Have a great weekend!
