This year I plan to step outside of my comfort zone when it comes to shopping. If you have been reading for any length of time, you know that the majority of my wardrobe comes from Forever 21. Not that there is anything is wrong with that and I will continue to show plenty of love for it. I know how things fit, the sizing, materials, etc...I swear I could be one of the VP's for the company. Sometimes I tend to get tunnel vision and forget that there are actually some other amazing places to shop that are just as affordable, fun and stylish.

Enter Ruche. I came across the modern, online boutique, with a vintage touch several months after I started blogging. I picked up a few things here and there and was always pleased with the quality. Many of their items are exclusives that you won't find anywhere else and the story behind the company is the real deal.
Over the holiday break, during an out of control, after Christmas shopping extravaganza, I hopped over to Ruche to see what their recent offerings were. My shopping cart quickly went from one item to about ten. After some willpower, I ended up checking out with three items (the woven bag and plaid jacket in this post) that are not only staples, but well made pieces that didn't break the bank.
Ruche compiled an entire section of items that are less than $40. Below is my new wish list. They also have the most adorable selection of home decor and office accessories. Plus, I am holding myself accountable that I will broaden my horizons in 2014 when it comes to shopping and adding new pieces to my wardrobe.
