Last Sunday I met Jessica with Here & Now. Her and I have been long time blog buds and she was in town for her bachelorette party. We knew we had to figure out a way to finally hug in real life. We started our sites around the same time and have cheered one another along the whole way. I wasn't nervous in the slightest to meet her face-to-face because literally I felt like we were long time friends reuniting after many years. It blows my mind the connections and friendships that bloggers make. In the past year I have been blessed to have met several women that I "follow" on a daily basis and have become great friends with so many.
Jessica and I chatted it up like I knew we would and there was absolutely zero awkward moments. I took some photos of her, but still felt a wee bit shy for her to snap some of me. I need to step out of my shell and feel more at ease with others taking my pics. Later in the day, I had my husband take a few of what I wore. I kept it casual, relaxed with a few added layers.

Target Chambray (option here and here) // Forever 21 Maxi Dress (option here and here) // The Home T Tee c/o // Chuck Taylor Converse (coupon code) // Forever 21 Tote // Costa Sunglasses (option here) // Wrenn Jewelry Rings c/o // Michael Kors Watch c/o The Jeweler's Wife // Ettika Bracelet c/o
This is the third or fourth time I have worn this floral maxi dress (originally seen in this post). This time I decided to transform it into a maxi skirt by layering it under my The Home T, My y'all is authentic, shirt (one of my all time faves). The weather was slowly starting to change from super warm and sunny, to breezy and cloudy, so I added my light wash chambray just to be safe. I cannot get enough of my Chuck Taylor Converse. I typically would never pair them with a dress, but for some reason I felt a little quirky with my style and went with it. It was something I felt comfortable in from 10:00 AM to the end of the day. I live for these type outfits.
In other news, I am off to my daughter's kindergarten field trip. A few parents and teachers will be corralling about a hundred five and six-year-old nuggets. This day should be interesting. Wish us luck!
