Summers here in Texas start a little early. I always have viewed May as the start of summer even though it technically doesn't begin until June.
Since we are two days away from "Texas Summer", I caught a little bit of the beach bug and rounded up some bright and fun essentials that I can't live without during my days at the beach. Okay, let's be honest, my trips to the beach will be few and far between, but lounging by the pool will be a frequent staycation.

Delia's Swimsuit Top // Delia's Swimsuit Bottom (optional colors too) // Sole Society Straw Fedora // Heart Shaped Sunglasses // Rainbow Braided Flip-Flops // Beach Towel // Eos Lip Balm // Kate Spade Stripe Tumbler // Juicy Couture iPhone Case // Mesh Beach Tote // Neutrogena Beach Defense // Beach Babe Texturizing Spray
Most everything shared today are obvious necessities, but I was excited to show you guys a handful of adorable staples that will make your sunny days even brighter; plus three beauty products you'll want to add to your summertime list.
Let me start by saying that Delia's collection of swimwear this season surprised the heck out of me. I was doing some online perusing and came across their online selections. I realize this store is geared toward a younger, possibly teenage/college audience, but wow. Just wow. You ladies need to check out all the fun prints, patterns, styles and options. I have a feeling you will be saying wow out loud too.
I always make sure to carry along an insulated tumbler filled with water or Diet Dr. Pepper. I found two of the cutest Kate Spade arylic cups with straws (one is listed above) and couldn't resist sharing.
This year I am adding some sort of clear tote to my personal "must buy" list. I always find myself digging through my beach bag for sunblock, snacks, goggles or lip balm. Having a clear bag is going to make life of digging through a bottomless pit more bearable. Nordstrom has several see-through bags and this bikini mesh tote is almost too good to pass up.
One last dose of goodness is Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray from Not Your Mother's. I am a huge fan of their dry shampoo, Clean Freak. So, last year I gave the beach spray a whirl and LOVED it. It smells like somewhere tropical and really does provide textured waves after stepping out of the pool or lake.
I hope this post gets you just as excited I am about the upcoming months. Days at the lake, lounging by the pool and a possible beach vacation puts a smile on my face. This is hands down my favorite time of year.
