Yesterday was our wedding anniversary. Well, actually today because I am typing this post on Tuesday. So, I am going to make this super quick because, hello, we are still celebrating. Our youngest had a slumber party and our oldest hung with her friends in the neighborhood, so that meant Mom and Dad got to embrace a quite and speedy rendezvous in downtown Austin. Typically we send the kids off to "grandparent camp" during the week of our anniversary, but since my mom had surgery, that wasn't in the cards this year. We still enjoyed ourselves just like we do every July 8th with food, wine, uninterrupted conversation and plenty of laughs. Next year will be a milestone year and you bet your bottom dollar that we WILL be sitting like fat cats on a beach somewhere. Turks & Caicos anyone? Dreams do happen.

I wanted to get dressed up, feel a little sexy but not be too over the top. It is/was a Tuesday evening after all. This champagne colored maxi skirt and lace camisole was my ticket. I added studded heels and a leopard clutch for a little bit of spice while keeping my jewelry to a minimum for a little bit of nice. I have to pat my subconscious on the back for telling me to wear an elastic waist skirt because if I am being completely honest, neither of us brought home a doggy bag.
