Typically, if someone asked me if I would be open to the idea of wearing a scarf in the middle of July, I would laugh in their face; that would've been up until this past week. I found this pom-pom scarf at Old Navy and knew I had to figure out a way to incorporate it into my summer wardrobe. Luckily, we had a few showers yesterday. It cooled things down immensely and gave me the opportunity to wrap this lightly made scarf around my neck. I must admit, I am 100% smitten by the pom-pom trend even though Ross said my scarf looked like the curtains his grandma had hanging back in the day. Mark my words, I bet she had the most stylish window coverings in town.

Another item I was a little unsure about for Summer months was this Barrington Gifts St. Anne's tote. It's not that I was debating on the tote itself, just the color and pattern. I asked for help on Instagram about a month ago. I could not, for the life of me, decide between the check and stripe patterns. About 90% of you said stripes for the win, but for some reason the brown and black check print kept calling my name. Usually I take advice from the majority, but this time I went against the grain. I must say, I am 100% happy with my decision. I think this pattern is classic and one for all seasons.
If you haven't been to Barrington's website, get ready to spend a good thirty minutes playing and designing. They have the coolest website ever...pick a bag style, pick a color, pick a pattern and add your initials....or not. I am a visual person and need to see exactly how things will look before I make up my mind. Barrington does just that...you can literally design a custom bag exactly the way you want it and BOOM it magically pops up onto your computer screen.
Not only is their website revolutionary, so are their products. The craftsmanship, leather and designs are exceptional and will see you through waves of fast fashion. I am all about trends and experimenting with the latest styles, but it's important to add key, quality pieces to your closet that you know will be utilized for years to come...this tote is one of my years to come items.
Happy shopping and designing.
