Yesterday we took an early evening, one big happy family stroll around none other than the outlet mall. How sweet, right? Kidding, well sort of. It was actually sweet...a little bittersweet because our oldest is leaving for church camp today and won't be home until Saturday. We spent the rest of our night grabbing sno-cones with cream (the best), playing cards, finishing up some last minute packing and trying to wind down one excited little nine-year-old. This is her second year to attend, so I am a bit more at ease with sending her off, but it doesn't take away the fact that I will have ZERO contact with her until Saturday afternoon. I know she is in great hands, His hands, but things are going to be a little too quiet around here for the next few days. I am so proud of her for wanting to go because this girl right here, would NEVER leave her momma for more than two days. I was a stage five clinger back in the day. Watching Logan grow up and wanting more independence to be on her own breaks my heart, but at the same time makes me smile that she has a personality strong enough to venture out and be without Mom, Dad and Sister. I will be the one crying...in my car as I am watching the buses leave. I hope I can hold back the tears until then.

In other news, I hinted to you guys on Monday that I would be sharing more Chicwish finds this week. (Take 20% off your entire purchase with code SALE20 through July 27th). Don't get me wrong, I love the lace sleeve details on this top, but must admit I am even more smitten with the studded ankle strap espadrille flats. They are super comfy, true to size and more adorable than photos can capture. I was worried about getting a pair of white leather shoes, but after wearing them for several hours yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised by how "clean" they actually remained. And speaking of white, I have yet to stain these Old Navy cut-offs that I posted last week. I have worn them three times now and not one permanent spot. Go me! Maybe now I have enough guts to find a white pair of jeans. Typically I don't mix very well with white clothing. Maybe I am growing up. Ha!
While we are on the subject of what I wore, this orange beaded tassel necklace from Lisi Lerch is a definite new favorite. One of my best friends was standing with me in my kitchen when I opened the necklace from the mail. She begged and batted her eyes so hard to let me let her take it home. I came so close to giving in. I am not telling stories. Karolyn, go ahead and tell them.
You should probably know by now how much I love a good tassel. This one did not disappoint. It's definitely a "completer" piece. I think it added the final touch to this casual summer style. Lisi Lerch has a few other colors in this necklace as well as coordinating tassel earrings + so much more! You have to check out her site. I promise you will be a jotting down a wish list as soon as you click over.
EXCITING NEWS!!! Today, Lisi Lerch has graciously offered to giveaway the exact orange beaded tassel necklace ($150 value!!!) that I am wearing in today's post. Good luck and happy shopping!

Awwwww separation anxiety ..... I think we moms cry more when our kids grow up. I die a little whenever I send off my kids to school or camp. Great summer style again Shanna....those flats are too cute for words!

It is definitely bittersweet watching the little ones grow up. Sending you a virtual tissue for when you have to drop your daughter off! Love those cute espadrilles!
I can't imagine how tough it is to have your baby attending camps and growing up. My son is more a clinger than ready for his independence. Cute shoes and I say go for the white jeans - you are ready for it!

Your daughter is going to have an amazing week! :)
I'm going to have a tough time when the day comes to send my boys to camp, even though I used to work there and know how fun it is :)

The goodbye freaked me out because of the last post from Monday! I had the same thing a week ago when my oldest, Reagan left for camp. It was her first time sailing and going to this particular camp and I knew it was more "big kid" than anything she has done.
LOVE this look and I'll have to jump on that Chic Wish bandwagon. :)

I was obsessed with The Parent Trap as a child, and I was always so jealous of the kids who got to go away to sleep away camp (and, you know, find their long-lost British sister). I'm sure she'll have a blast, but good luck with the separation anxiety! Definitely harder for the moms!

This tassle necklace is so cute! I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!
Awww! I think it's so awesome that she's excited to go off and be with friends and enjoy camp at her age. I'm sure it's hard for Momma Bear though.
Aw, parenthood really is a double-edged sword. We want them to be independent but...it's so hard to let go! That's a pretty long time for a nine year old to be away with no communication!! Even though I never win anything I have to at least TRY to get that necklace. SO CUTE!!

I don't have anything to contribute to the parenthood stuff, I will say in another life I hope to have your fashion sense! :-)
Such a cute top! I entered the giveaway, too :)
Aww, I don't even want to think about those days when my little one wants to venture out on her own and she's not even here yet!! You look gorgeous as always Shanna. LOVING those shoes!
Love the pop of orange against your light blue top!

Hi Shanna,
I just wanted to pop in while I was linking up to the party and tell you that I just love your style. Everything you wear is so cute! Y'ou need to be nominated for Bloglovins fashion blogger awards! I am not sure if you have been yet, but I am going to nominate you for sure!
I hope the time flies for you! She will have SO much fun!!!
Oh man, I think all mmom's can relate on this one! in other news you look fabulous - I'm loving those shoes!

I wanted to comment about your post on Monday. I know exactly how you feel. I've been feeling like this for a few months now. I take my own pictures, my husband is a work when I take them. It's so hard to juggle everything and it stresses me out. I'm hoping to find more balance once my son starts kindergarten in the Fall. I think a lot of us are struggling, especially those of us with kids. Thank you for your honesty.

Love the color of your necklace...so perfect with that top!
I used to go to camp for two week straight with no contact with my parents except writing letters. It was the best two weeks ever, but seeing my parents when they picked me up made me cry every time! I'm sure sweet girl will have a ball! Can't wait to see you tonight xoxoxo
This is so cute, Shanna! I used to go to church camp as a kid and it was Sunday through Saturday. I was absolutely obsessed with it -- years later I still talk about it nonstop. She is going to have the best time! www.amemoryofus.com
Something tells me there will be buckets of tears when she goes off to college. It's a mama thing and I know you don't even want to think about that right now!!! Love the top. Love the girly details.
Haha, I'm laughing at your stage 5 clinger comment! My mom is kinda like that even though I'm an adult. :) Love the lace detailing on your top!

Looking oh so cute in the blue and orange girly!! And I hope she has the best time at camp! So wonderful she wants to make those lifetime memories and so wonderful she has a Mamma that is going to miss her very much ;)
I have always believed that it is harder on the mom, the kids are normally super excited, and 5 minutes later they are "mom who?" she will have lots of fun, and stories to share.
Natalia
PS Try the snocone with condensed milk, it is to die for
I never knew that I loved baby blue and orange together so much until now. That is such a gorgeous combo!
Aww you are the sweetest mom!! I bet you have such a great relationship with your daughters :) hope she has fun and you don't worry too much. Love this pretty delicate top with that bright necklace - such a perfect combo!!

Aww you poor thing!! She is going to have an awesome time and even though it stinks for you, it will be so good for her. I think it is so much harder on the parents most of the time than the kids (at least this was true for me...) You are such a great mom!
