I got this Old Navy stripe dress during the Labor Day sales. Obviously, it didn't take me long to wear it. A few of my girlfriends and I headed to dinner Saturday night for a pre-baby shower celebration. It has the perfect amount of room and I knew I would be able to indulge in three different appetizers, a main course, dessert and a couple of cocktails in between without having to suck in. Can I get an amen?
Unfortunately, this exact dress sold out rather quickly; possibly because it was a Refinery 29 Top Pick. They do have a few other colors still available. I highly recommend getting one for yourself, especially since everything at Old Navy is 30% off online right now (sale ends today). It's one of those pieces that isn't too heavy or light in fabric and can be layered for the upcoming cooler months. I plan on adding a blazer or denim jacket with my riding boots when we start to actually see fall weather around these parts. The Weather Channel app is telling me it's coming to visit on Saturday. Can I get another amen?

And since I haven't been "random" in I don't know how long, here are a few:
1. I scored these Pottery Barn Seagrass chairs for my kitchen for an almost unbelievable price at their outlet store. I got three for less than the price of one. I need one more and waiting on them to get the fourth one in. Persistence, patience and willing to drive two hours round trip paid off.
2. I am so excited for Gone Girl to open next month. I knew they were making a movie, but had no idea it was coming out so soon. That book was all sorts of messed up...especially the ending, but I am dying to see it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. A friend of mine told me that there is a plot twist and possibly a completely different ending than in the book.
3. I am half way through my Invisalign treatment. I have thirty trays total and am on the sixteenth. Ahem, another amen? So far, I have been pleased. I can actually see a difference in my teeth. It's small, but I can see it. Even some of my friends and family have noticed the change. I am praying this one tooth that has been a thorn in my side will straighten after it's all said and done. And no, I don't keep "my teeth" (that's what I call them) in for blog pictures. Luckily, it's been a pretty easy and painless process, except for the fact that I have to take them out every time I want to eat and I can't chew gum...I miss my Juicy Fruit & Big Red.
4. One last thing, I am over at Lauren's blog, Fizz & Frosting, recapping some of my favorite looks that have been great for the end of summer and styles that will also work for early fall. She is busy being a new mommy. I was happy to help her out while she is enjoying her new baby girl.
