This past weekend sixteen of us headed to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to a town called Grapevine for our 2nd Annual GrapeFest Girls Weekend. The festival is a three day event filled with vendors, food, music, carnival rides and of course wine. Thankfully the weather was much different for us this year. Fall arrived just in time and we didn't have to melt from the blazing heat like we did last year. Let me tell you, it was like Mother Nature flew down from the sky and graced us with an almost forgotten chill.
I wore this heavier cotton buffalo check drop waist dress from Old Navy and my cowgirl boots for our first afternoon out. It is so comfortable, doesn't wrinkle and is a perfect print for fall and winter. I think it will be fun with my riding boots and a tan blazer for a more classic style. I also plan to wear it with tights, ankle boots and my denim jacket. It is a Refinery 29 Top Pick and I have a feeling it might not last long.

If you live in Texas, you really need to mark your calendar for GrapeFest next year. Plan yourself a girls trip or a romantic getaway. We stayed at The Gaylord Texan.
This resort is a vacation in itself. We also did a few other fun
excursions, so if you want to make plans to go next year, shoot me an
email or leave me a comment. I am happy to help answer any questions. I
cannot take credit for all the planning though, my friend was rock star
and set up our entire trip. I can however, pass the detailed daily
itinerary she made for us onto anyone who is interested. Cheers!
