Silver Cowgirl Boots...What?

Today I am partnering with Country Outfitter and talking boots, not just regular boots. We are not even discussing your typical brown/black basic cowgirl boots, but silver ones. Yep, silver. You can see more of this trend here

Supposedly this is a new thing in the cowgirl boot world. I am sorry, I just can't. I think this is one of those trends that will be here for less than .5 seconds. Cowgirl boots are an investment. I think if you are going to make the purchase, it should be on a pair that are classic and will take you through several years of wear, like the Ariat pair I chose from Country Outfitter.

If you have been reading for a while, you know I am from Texas, I love country music, I enjoy "country" things and I am a big fan of western boots...all season long. Silver though? It's just not going to happen; even if Miranda Lambert is on board.

In my opinion, I think every girl in the whole entire world should own a pair of cowgirl boots. I have worn mine over and over. I have had these Tony Lama ones for a few years. They have been my sidekicks on so many occasions. Then I came across this Ariat pair and fell more in love and felt a little guilty. Don't get me wrong, my Tony Lamas will still get plenty of attention, but for the time being my new boots are going to take the spotlight...they just aren't silver.

If you are looking to invest in a quality pair of cowgirl boots, I highly suggest Country Outfitter. They have a wide selections of colors, brands and prices. Their customer service is amazing and many items ship with 24 hours + receive FREE shipping on all boot purchases. Also, I recommend sticking to your typical shoe size when purchasing.

Love the dress and agree completely about avoiding flash trends when buying boots.

This is simply amazing and may be my favorite post yet!! I have had the same pair of cowboy boots since college. I still wear them sometimes, but they are pretty rugged looking. I just love them though! I think I may put these on my Christmas list. Then I will order them, wrap them, and my husband can give them to me(: Happy weekend! Susan

Love that dress, it's gorgeous. I've always wanted a pair of cowgirl boots because I'm a country girl too. Just might have to get serious about it:)

I have the hardest time finding knee-high boots that fit me - it's always tricky getting them so they look right in the calf without overwhelming your frame. You pull them off so well though - must be the Texas girl in you! :)

Uh yeah, no. Unless you're singing somewhere on a stage (and not of the karaoke variety), a la Miranda, I can't get on board with silver boots either. They just seem super impractical to me!

I love a good old fashioned cowgirl boot. Really love this look Shanna. I actually saw Luchesse boots in a high fashion magazine and got a little excited although I wasn't too sure about the heel. It's a cowgirl boot with a really thin heel. I'm sure some girls can pull it off I know I can't haha.

I only own one pair of cowboy boots, so I think it would take me awhile to actually go for a pair of metallic ones! You look so chic in this dress girl!

I don't have a pair of cowboy boots but really wouldn't mind getting a pair. And, yes. I don't think the silver thing will take off. That dress and the necklace are so cute!

I am totally going to agree with you on this one--that is one step too far for me lol unless they were like a $10 pair (which we all know good cowboy boots are much more expensive and made of quality material). You look like a true southern girl in this outfit--so stinkin adorbs!

This is speaking right to my country girl heart :) And eeek are silver ones really the new trend? Don't think I'm quite on board with that either!

This is such a fun and beautiful print. Gorgeous look. Such a cool place for photos, I have always wanted to take pictures somewhere like that.

I love both pairs ( and not the silver). I am a huge fan of silver and want a pair of silver oxfords but not cowgirl boots, no way... I am inspired to pull my boots back out. ( guess I am a cowgirl at heart)

I am from/live in Northern Kentucky and while we are on the cusp on the south, cowboy boots aren't mandated but I do so love mine. I used to be really into the line dancing scene at the famously Haunted Bobby Mackey's Music World (it's on Ghost Adventures.) I don't think I'd hop on the silver bandwagon unless it were a cheapie forever 21 mock country boot. I love my Ariats, and I also have a pair from Lareado and Justin Gypsy as well. They're all kind of a cherry wood leather brown, so my next step will be a pair of black ones.

I love those boots! My boyfriend buys me a new pair of boots for each anniversary we celebrate & I added the Hacienda's from Ariat (super similar to yours!) to my collection. Country Outfitter is one of my favorite sites to buy boots from, great customer service & such great deals!
