Wednesday evening we headed out for a family tradition. We have been visiting the same pumpkin patch at a local church even before our oldest turned one year old. Since then, several other patches have surfaced, but we continue to make our way to the same perfect and nostalgic place we call ours.
After we picked out the brightest and plumpest pumpkins, we took annual obligatory photos of our girls and the family. When we got home I immediately uploaded them and proudly posted a handful on my personal Facebook page. Before I knew it, I was scrolling through old albums on my page and looking back on all nine years of our tradition. Seeing how much my girls have grown up and remembering how I used to bribe them with toys and candy to "pose" for the camera brought all kinds of smiles.
We haven't established too many traditions that we continue to uphold, but picking out pumpkins at "our" little patch is one that will continue until our girls leave home for college; whether they like or not.

The weather wasn't cool, hot or wet on Wednesday, regardless, I was dressing the fall, pumpkin hunting part. For some reason Hunter boots, skinny jeans and a scarf were my vision for the perfect picking. Instead of wrapping the scarf around my neck, I opted for knotting the ends. It satisfied my fall fix even if the weather wasn't on the same page as me.
I haven't shared pictures of my kids on my blog in awhile, so I leave you with the cutest pumpkins in the patch. Have a great weekend, go seek out your own special spot and start a new tradition of your own!
P.S. Gigi New York is running a friends and family sale this weekend only. Get 25% off your purchase by using the code WEAREFAMILY.
