I have said it before and I will say it again, dressing for early fall is hard. September and October are probably the worst months, for me personally, when it comes to figuring out what to wear. The temperatures this week are in the low 90's, but it's OCTOBER!!! I know, welcome to Texas.
Anyway, I have slowly started to learn how to incorporate pieces that are appropriate for the season without feeling as though I am sitting in a sauna. Yes, I love the summer months, but I also want to embrace the current season...especially when it comes to clothing. I am over tank tops and shorts.
I picked out a French Connection pencil skirt, ankle strap heels and tote with tweed accents several months ago when I attended a conference. All three pieces have rescued me from my seasonal slump. They have the perfect amount of style, texture, color and pattern character to say, "Hey, Fall, you ARE actually here". The best part? They can slide perfectly into the winter and spring categories too.
Right now, French Connection is offering 25% off all full priced items right now. Use the code PSWW14 at checkout.
Anyone else itching to pull out all your scarves, riding boots, sweaters, jackets and everything else that can be layered? I know it will be here sooner than later, but patience has never been my strong suit.

On a completely random note, did anyone see Gone Girl this
weekend? We were running crazy and didn't have the chance, but I am
keeping my fingers crossed we can catch it this weekend. My mom and
sister went yesterday. They said it's soooooo good and just like the
book. Dying to go...maybe I will just hit a matinee by myself today. Ha! There goes my impatient brain getting the best of me again.
