We had Ross's company Christmas party this weekend. Running crazy was the theme of our Saturday afternoon. So crazy, that I didn't get a chance to take an Instagram #ootd selfie or post any pics of what I wore. Needless to say we had a great time. A great enough time that I didn't stop to think about taking a single picture. Ooops! Next year!! I was concentrating on merriment and not my phone or social media.
Anyway, I am hoping to share a similar look later this week in case you are looking for some holiday party attire inspiration. I will say, my outfit did involve this J.Crew Factory silver sequin top.
Today is a casual version of how I styled it. I have a similar one in pastel pink that I have worn a few times on my blog....last time was here...a year ago!!
It's a fun top that can be style and layered a million ways....holiday season or not. I chose to wear it with jeans, layered over a plaid oxford and added cognac accents for a casual look, perfect for holiday shopping, a laid back office party or holiday family gathering.
Remember, just because it sparkles doesn't mean it can't be worn during the day. It's super easy to dress down sequins by incorporating casual pieces...especially plaid.
