Initially I picked out this floral dress for our upcoming beach vacation at the end of the month. I knew it would be great to throw on over my swimsuit or as an easy breezy style for sightseeing. Little did I know that I would end up tucking it in and pairing it with a midi skirt.
I am 5'7 and this dress hits a few inches above my knees. The length isn't quite weather appropriate at the moment, but I loved it so much and didn't want to wait several more weeks to wear it...insert it's multipurpose use as a flowy top.
This isn't my first rodeo tucking in a dress and transforming it into a top. It's a genius way to get extra wear out of your favorite dresses. I am not sure who invented this concept, but I am sending high fives and fist pumps his or her way for this little style trick.

In other news, we are celebrating BIG this weekend. My sweet daddy is having a milestone birthday on Saturday. I can hardly contain my excitement and the time we get to spend with our family. My brother flew in from New Mexico to surprise my dad + a few other unexpected events are in store. Cannot.wait.until.tomorrow.
Have a great weekend. Talk more on Monday! xoxo
P.S. Funny story....so, you know how I have been posting additional pictures of how I have worn certain items to give y'all more style ideas? I was looking back on past posts when I wore this skirt and OMG...they're just wrong...sooooo wrong. I couldn't bring myself to show you again. Why in the world did some of you NOT tell me how horrible my outfits were? LOL!! Wow! It's crazy to see my altering preferences over a 12+ month period. As much as I want to, I will never delete posts because this is truly an evolution of me and my style journey. Plus, it's HILARIOUS to look back on. :)
