I am not sure what's come over me lately. Oddly, I haven't been doing much shopping except for in my closet. No, I didn't put myself on any sort of shopping ban/freeze. I just haven't felt the need, urge or desire to spend money on new clothes. Now, I am not saying that I haven't purchased any new items lately because I have. I grabbed a few Spring accessories, sandals and a couple of basic tops here and there, but for the most part I've been restyling pieces I already own.
I want to show you guys new items, styles and trends because well, I write a personal style blog, but right now my focus is on other things. I have plenty hanging in my closet and unless I come across an item I absolutely LOVE, I've been passing on the majority of things.
I am pretty positive this shopping rut/downgrade won't last long, but honestly, I am okay if it does. Blogging and reading blogs can play tricks on your mind. You see something on someone else, on Instagram or in a promotional email and automatically think you NEED it because it's on sale or sooooooo cute. Believe me, I do the same thing.
I just have taken a few steps back, been enjoying the clothes I own, styling them different ways and making the most of what I've spent money on. Take for instance today's outfit...the white denim were last seen on Friday, the blush vest a few weeks back and this top I've owned FOREVER.
Again, we'll see how long this small break lasts. Ha!
