I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend. This year, things were a little unconventional because we didn't travel out of town to see our families. We have been in the process of a pretty big outdoor renovation and needed to get odd and ends complete before the next stage of construction. I can't wait to show you guys our new backyard when it's finished.
Anyway, we had a cul-de-sac flashlight Easter egg hunt Saturday night. I am not sure who had more fun, the adults or kids. Sunday morning we woke up early for the Easter Bunny, made breakfast at home and headed to afternoon church service. We had a late lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, took blog pictures (I wore this outfit to church), napped and Ross worked more outside. Again, not our typical Easter weekend, but it was relaxing and blessed nonetheless. Next year we will go home to see our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. It just wasn't the same without seeing them this year.

This outfit incorporates two of my favorite pieces; a denim jacket and simple white dress. I have worn both numerous times on my blog and on days that haven't been documented. Both are closet staples and can be interchanged over and over again.
Everything except the scarf and shoes are items I have owned for awhile. Adding a couple of new accessories can freshen up older pieces and create an updated seasonal style. The scarf and peep-toe flats are from Old Navy, but the scarf isn't online. They do have a super similar one with the same tassels. I picked up both and a couple of other items late last week to spruce up my wardrobe. If you think about it, purchasing a few new accessories each season is almost like changing out throw pillows or hanging up a new picture on the wall in your home. Simple new additions can make all the difference in the world.
